I help people whose lives have been affected by the negligence (wrongdoing – whether reckless or careless) of others. I am grateful that people trust me to take care of them. What everyone should know is that I take my responsibility to them seriously. Since you reached out to me, I know that you are counting on me and I do not ever want to let you down. I cannot promise a dollar value outcome, but I can and do promise to give you my best effort and you should expect it.

I attended Wofford College for one semester but did not get to go back because I messed up. I got a second chance at The University of South Carolina Lancaster Campus. After a couple of years, I reapplied to Wofford College and graduated with a degree in Accounting. I am thankful for second chances and now teach one course at The University of South Carolina Lancaster Campus, offering young people the same second chance that was offered to me.

After graduation I first worked with a bank, then a computer software company, and finally a marketing firm. I went to law school because I was sued, had a horrible lawyer (thankfully the fellow on the other side was worse, so I had to represent myself), and decided I could do better than them. I got my law degree from The University of South Carolina School of Law. I worked at the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office while I was in law school.

In 2003, I opened my own law firm. Today I only represent people injured in wrecks (car, truck, motorcycle, and bike), slip & falls, and wrongful deaths. Many of the people I represent were injured by distracted or drunk drivers. The cases I take usually involve more serious and permanent injuries, including brain injuries. I have filed many lawsuits, taken countless depositions, and tried numerous cases. I am certified to practice in State Court, Federal Court, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, I am a certified mediator in South Carolina.

We are fortunate to have the most giving community you could live in. People here give of their time and other resources on a regular basis. In the past, I had fun coaching, being on a few boards, and even serving as mayor of small-town Kershaw.

Today, Justice4Kids is my primary focus. We donate money for food-filled backpacks for kids for the weekends so they can eat and for sporting goods for kids that otherwise would not have these things so they can participate in sports.
